Wanneer kies je SWR?

Buitenconstructies en installaties waar ook de rand van de sluitring bescherming nodig heeft. Controleer de werkelijke bevestiging: boutkop en moer kunnen bij dezelfde draadmaat verschillende vormen en afmetingen hebben. Een proefpassing op een representatieve verbinding voorkomt dat een hele serie kappen op een verkeerde maat wordt besteld.

Vaste hoogte of telescopisch

Vast en telescopisch, afhankelijk van de maat. Een vaste kap heeft een vaste geometrie. Een telescopische uitvoering bestaat uit delen die elkaar overlappen. De T in het artikelnummer herkent de telescopische uitvoering; het getal geeft de in het productblad opgegeven maximale hoogte. Verstelbaarheid betekent niet dat elke lagere hoogte zonder meer past. Controleer de minimale overlap en de montage op de moer.

De ring hoort bij de maatcontrole

Meet de buitenmiddellijn en dikte van de gebruikte sluitring. Twee ringen voor dezelfde M-maat kunnen sterk verschillen. De ringafdekking moet over de ring passen en op de bedoelde ondergrond aansluiten. Een te brede of te dikke ring kan de kap optillen; een ongeschikte ondergrond kan de afsluiting verstoren. Vergelijk daarom alle ringmaten uit de tabel en laat een afwijkende combinatie controleren.

Bescherming afstemmen op de omgeving

Voor buitengebruik spelen UV-blootstelling, water, zout, temperatuur en de bereikbaarheid voor onderhoud mee. De standaard SW-, SWR-, SWS- en HD-uitvoeringen worden door Juisma omschreven als UV-gestabiliseerd LDPE. Controleer voor afwijkende chemicaliën en temperaturen de gekozen materiaaluitvoering. Een temperatuurbereik van het vet is niet automatisch het temperatuurbereik van de kunststof kap.
